So *that* is what the gear retraction sequence looks like from the outside on an Arrow (a bit newer than the one I fly but it should be similar)
Now I can see why the nosewheel makes such a 'clunk' when it extends.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw this!!
The thing about gear retraction that gets me is the smell, but thats because some naughty pilot didn't brake before raising the gear.... :-)
Yeah, it's easy to forget to brake before you raise the gear, that's certainly something I'm guilty of :)
